Sales Manager – Electronics Distribution/Components

American Zettler, Inc – Orange County, CA

Summary
This position reports directly to the General Manager with a dotted line to the President, Zettler Group. Responsible for developing strategic sales plans based on company goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Identify and hunt for new business opportunities.
  • Develop sales strategy to increase sales revenue to meet assigned targets.
  • Sells products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of the company product lines, and the company’s design and manufacturing capabilities for developing and integrating new products into customer applications.

Manufacturing:

  • Oversee resources to proactively ensure high quality service delivery while striving for continuous improvement.
  • Support management with planning for each portion of implementation and holding internal and external partners accountable.
  • Work with the internal team, warehouse and external vendors in ensuring that all needs are met, and pricing is designed to meet company goals.

Interactions/ Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Interacts frequently with Executive Management, Department managers, customers, suppliers, manufacturing, vendors, community leaders, media contacts, public.
  • Interacts with customers and reps to provide technical information, help translate customer requirements into appropriate specifications and identify product solutions for various customer applications.
  • This position directly supervises 2 Inside Sales Coordinators, 1 Distribution Coordinator.

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (including the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience and vice versa).
  • Highly developed level of understanding of electronic components applications across various industries.
  • Proven success in collaborating directly with customers and/or other end users to understand their needs and translate them into clearly defined technical requirements documents and components solutions.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries and complaints.
  • Hands-on attitude and strong team-work skills.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Superior Interpersonal skills and positive references.
  • Bachelor’s degree or Sales Engineering experience.
  • 5-7 (five to seven) years of Sales Management experience in the electronics industry.
  • Advanced ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use complex math.
  • Effective and persuasive presentation skills on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups and/or board of directors.
